At The Specialist Upholstery Company, we offer expert-led Car Trimming Courses designed for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, our courses provide hands-on training in both traditional and modern car upholstery techniques. We offer flexible options, including intensive three-day full-time courses and one-day DIY taster sessions. You’ll learn the essential skills of the trade, from fabric and leather cutting and sewing, to pattern making, foam shaping, hand stitching, and creating seat covers and door trims. While the focus is often on classic cars, these techniques are easily transferable to modern vehicles, vans, motorhomes, and boats. All courses are taught by Richard, a master upholsterer with over 40 years of experience in car and boat upholstery. In addition to our training programmes, we also provide professional trimming and re-upholstery services for both classic and contemporary vehicles.
