We at The Blockley Tyre Company are producing a wide range of quality classic car tyres at unbelievable low prices. Since we first established in 2002, we are VERY proud to say, our products have been acclaimed the world over and we have been given the first Historic Motor Sports Company Of The Year Award. Our pre-war tyre sizes are also FIA eligible. In addition to our ever increasing range, we have also embarked on superior quality road / race tyres suitable for post-war cars, initially in 16 inch sizes. It is our company’s main goal to provide products designed and built to the highest quality.

Although designed primarily as a road tyre, we have many competition achievements in our maiden year that demonstrate the all round durability of our tyres – they are not only suitable for Circuits and Hill climbs but Trialing as well! So much so that many people have been under the misapprehension that ours is puely a race tyre and ask if they are suitable for road use!

So what are the Blockley tyre specifications? You may ask, well our tyres come in a good-looking 3 block tread pattern, with an authentic pre war feel to it. The design has a far superior wet weather performance over anything we have experienced. Its overall width is of a slim nature, which is not only traditional to pre-war tyres but helps with airflow to the brake drums on higher performance cars, negating the need for offset rims. The tread width itself offers maximum contact area too. We guarantee that our products will not look out of context on any pre war car.

We also now produce a 5 block pattern initially in 16 inch sizes as well. We have thoroughly testing both on the road and at Goodwood track, this range which has been available since December 2003. We started with the 600 x 16″ size suitable for cars such as XK and C type Jaguar, 250 Td F and Testa Rossa Ferrari and so on. We have also produced and tested 650 and 550 X 16 Tyres.

All experts will agree that any tyres running on wire wheels must be fitted with a good quality rim band and inner tube. So with that in mind, Blockley tyres will be fitted with our own ‘Blockley Superior Tubes’ inner tubes. Vehicles capable of speeds in excess of 100 mph should be fitted with quality racing tubes. We believe there is no better race tube manufactured around other than our “Blockley Superior Tubes”.
