We at Sporting Classic Motors Ltd are a company based in North Hampshire close to the Berkshire border in Southern England specialising in classic car restoration, with an emphasis on sporting historic motor vehicles. We do everything from the restoration of pre-war and post war classic and vintage motor vehicles to classic car maintenance, servicing and repairs.

We were originally known as ‘Thomas Smith and Sons’ when we first founded in 1969 by Tom Lubbock-Smith, now we have developed into our present operation and changed our name to SCM Sporting Classic Motors. Tom himself has been in the classic car industry since 1965, and he has invested into the company his wealth of knowledge and experience as well as his methodical, meticulous and conscientious character, which has become the hallmark of our business.

We are able to work most makes and models however our speciality is in dealing with British and German classics such as Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Austin Healey, Bentley and Daimler. We have also worked many other well-known and not so well known marques such as Ferrari and Auburn. We are able to provide a fully comprehensive facility here at our base, offering customers all aspects and associated requirements in classic car repairs and maintenance. All of the work we do whether that be care, maintenance and restoration of classic cars and historic motor vehicles we undertake in house.
