We at R M Fowler Ltd are providing specialist chains and sprockets for historic vehicles. We first founded in 1998 by Rodney Fowler, and since then we have gained a wealth of experience and expertise on industrial applications making us second to none for choice and knowledge. In the beginning, the company was involved in the supply of a wide variety of power transmission equipment for engineers and machine builders, but now we have decided to dedicate the business specifically to linear motion equipment including linear guides and ballscrews while also providing block, roller and timing chains for early vehicles.

Over the years, we have been involved in a wide spectrum of industrial applications across many different industries from scientific to production and packaging machinery. Our experience and knowledge in these specific areas along with Rodney Fowler’s passion for veteran cars enables us to also provide specialist chains and sprockets for most historic vehicles.

Our range of products includes:

• Block Chains – We have a range of 1 inch pitch block chains which are ideal for use on early cycles, starting handles for many cars and pedal chains for early motorcycles.
• Roller Chains – We have in stock a wide variety of standard BS, ANSI and specialist roller drive chains for many historical vehicles.
• Imperial Timing Chains – We can supply a range of imperial inverted tooth and roller type timing chains. We specialise in pre-1960 vehicles mostly.
• Metric Timing Chains – We have a limited range of 10mm Pitch metric inverted tooth chains available.
