Phoenix Autocraft

We at Phoenix Autocraft are crafting classic cars for the future! We all know how hard it is to find highly skilled panel beaters/welders and coach builders in the industry as these crafts are sadly starting to fade away with time. However, here at Phoenix Autocraft we aim to keep these much valued skills alive and pass them on to the next generation of classic car enthusiasts. Whilst we do embrace the traditional coach building techniques such as Gas welding and English Wheeling, we are also very keen to use some more modern techniques using the latest technology such as TIG welding and laser cutting, which gives us the very best that the past and present have to offer us.

We do love to look back to the past for skills and knowledge, but we also have one eye firmly on the future and what that has to offer. Our objective is simple – we don’t just restore vehicles but we also sympathetically modernise classic and vintage cars where appropriate. We are very proud to say, we even have the skills and equipment to build brand new aluminium bodies from scratch that are not just aesthetically pleasing but will also stand the test of time for future generations to love and enjoy.

Our services includes:

  • Traditional Coach Building – We use traditional tooling and techniques such as the use of English Wheels, Swage rollers, slip rollers, box and pan folder, fly press, bossing mallets, leather shot bags and good old fashioned Gilbos to name but a few!
  • Panel Making – We are able to fabricate replacement panels or repair sections from scratch for your vehicle and graft them seamlessly on to them. For enthusiasts, we can even offer Lead loading of seams to give your car a truly authentic restoration.
  • Transportation – We can safely transport your vehicle to our workshop using our very own axle dolly system. This service is free of charge (conditions apply) via our sister company: Midlands Car Transport.

Please do not hesitate to get in contact with us for further information on any of our services – we would love to hear from you!
