We at Oakley Innovations are manufacturers of retro-fit, electronic, speed-sensitive, power-assisted steering systems that are engineered and made here in the UK. Our quality systems have been developed over many years to improve your driving experience, whilst retaining the integrity of your classic vehicle. Our ‘Lite-Steer’ technology is currently predominantly used in VW campervans, however due to popular demand, we have been gradually developing our products for many classic cars as well.

Our Lite-Steer brand of products are simple enough to fit for most classic car enthusiasts to install themselves who have some basic mechanical knowledge. The unit will be supplied fully assembled, all you have to do is just bolt the unit in place and follow the wiring instructions. You will be pleased to hear no welding or floor work is required when installing. Full fitting instructions and clear wiring diagrams will be included with every unit. If you are not mechanically minded however or simply do not have the time to do it yourself, then we are more than able to recommend experienced Lite-Steer fitting centres located all over the UK.

We have already developed Lite-Steer systems for a range of classic car models including: Morgan + 4, Daimler, Jaguar E-type, Ford MK1 Escort, Ferrari 330 GT, Bentley and Mini. If however you have a classic car that isn’t listed here, then you should still get in contact as we may still be able to accommodate you.

We also supply Brazilian Bay Brake Correctors, a kit designed to correct the excessive brake travel on right hand drive converted VW Brazilian Kombi’s. Plus we offer Early Bay Top Column Bearing Assembly too.
